Candle Care & Safety

Your safety is very important to us.

Therefore candle safety is very important to us. Please read the below candle care & safety tips. Also, on the bottom side of every candle is a warning label. Review the warning label before lighting your candle.

Going forward we will include a candle care & safety card for your reference with every candle purchased.

  • Trim wick/s to 1/4 inch before every lighting, which aides in preventing the flame from getting to big.

  • Allow the initial candle burn to last 2-3 hours to prevent "Tunneling"

  • Never leave a burning candle unattended; Extinguish all candles when you leave a room or before going to sleep.

  • Don't place a burning candle near clothing, books, curtains or anything flammable, at least 2 feet away!

  • Keep lit candles away from ceiling fans, and any air currents.

  • Place candle on a stable, heat-resistant surface that is flat and large enough to catch any melted wax.

  • Extinguish a candle if the flame gets large enough to reach the container edges.

  • Place burning candles at least 5 inches apart from one another.

  • A burning candle should never be used as a nightlight.

  • A candle should not be burned for more than four hours at a time or less depending on the candle size.

  • To be safe, discontinue burning a candle when a 1/2 inch of wax remains in the container.

  • The safest way to extinguish your candle use a candle snuffer or the lid to smother the flame.
